The contact stated that the sticker that displayed the features showed that the vehicle was equipped with an Intelligent Forward Collision Warning System; however, the system occasionally failed to operate as needed. The contact stated that while the cruise control feature was activated on a hill, the vehicle downshifted the vehicle decelerating. The contact became aware of TSB: NTB 22-082a (Service Information for Brake Switch Adjustments for DTC C1142 and/or C1116 Stored). The contact also learned that the transmission control module needed to be reprogrammed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the TSB. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3.

This issue has occurred once and vehicle has 8k miles. I was sitting in stop and go rush hour traffic. While driving, all the lights on dash came on and it flashed 2 different messages about the system failure. I pulled off into a gas station parking lot and turned the truck off. I waiting approx 2 minutes and started the engine. The system ran thru all of the checks and the flashing system failure message was gone. It has not come back since. Not sure if it was a fluke thing or not.

The contact called on behalf of her husband who owns a 2022 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated while her husband was in park, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated and crashed into a parked vehicle in front of them, and that vehicle crashed into another unattended parked vehicle in front of that. The contact's vehicle went over the curb when it crashed into the vehicle in front of them. The contact stated her husband felt as if he was being pushed. The driver was pressing on the brakes, but the vehicle continued to move forward. There was an unknown yellow light that illuminated. There were no air bags deployed. The contact and husband approached the nearby house and were informed of the accident. The neighbor contacted the police. The police arrived on the scene and filed a report. There were no injuries. There were no medical treatments on the scene. The contact entire front of the vehicle was damaged, and the passenger side of the vehicle in front of them was damaged. The vehicle was taken to the local independent repair body shop. The employee of the body shop informed the contact to notify the manufacturer regarding the failure and damages. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number 22V457000 (Power Train). The approximate failure mileage was 2,000.
