The windshield is very steep by design and is also seemingly extremely delicate. Within 6 months I had multiple spider cracks simply from driving around town and on the highway at 55-65 mph. The windshield is very steep by design and is also seemingly extremely delicate. Within 6 months I had multiple spider cracks simply from driving around town and on the highway at 55-65 mph. A few weeks ago a rock hit the windshield and spidered almost immediately. The angle and the thin glass make it dangerous. It also cost just shy of $2900 to replace at my local Toyota dealership, which I did today. There are multiple complaints online in Toyota and Reddit and other forums.
